Version: 3.4.91 (using KDE 3.4.91 (beta1, >= 20050910), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-oci12.mdk-i586-up-1GB The search bar plugin's configuration dialog doesn't work as expected. When I selected it I was expecting to be able to add more search engine to the drop down list. What happened was the I was taken to the web shortcuts config. This doesn't have anything to do with the search bar as google still remains the only option to use. The web shortcuts config is only for using within konqueror's address bar (or minicli) making the presence of the "Select Search Engine..." entry rather pointless. It should either be removed or fixed to "do the right thing", i.e., add other search engines to the drop down box that users can search from. If this is a duplicate sorry searched and didn't see anything similar.
You have to install konq-plugins from kdeaddons to get the full functionality.
as Joerg de la Haye said konq-plugins from kdeaddons provides this.
