try change a file's permission if you want to choose the menu with the crosses for permissions it will not be displayed. (hope i explained it well enough that you understand what i mean :) )
this is konsole output:
decore (KLibLoader): WARNING: KLibrary: /opt/kde/lib/kde3/kpfpropertiesdialog.so: undefined symbol: init_kpfpropertiesdialog

Same thing here, using the Kubuntu Hoary packages, the "Advanced Permissions" button on the file properties dialog does nothing.

kdelibs: 4:3.4.91-0ubuntu0hoary1

Not a duplicate, very separate issue.
Comment 4 Damien Gombault 2005-09-28 06:50:38 UTC
I have the same problem. (KDE 3.4.91 and Gentoo ebuild)
Right mouse click on a file then « Permissions » tab , the button « Advanced permissions » is not working.

Comment 6 Tobias Powalowski 2005-10-16 09:34:23 UTC
now added acl package and recompiled kdelibs, now the property dialog works fine again, perhaps it should be possible to add advanced mode for those without acl package installed, or make a big hint while compiling kdelibs.

Comment 7 Damien Gombault 2005-10-16 11:26:43 UTC
« Advanced permissions » worked before in KDE 3.4 without acl package.
Shouldn't it work now in KDE 3.5 without acl ?
Comment 8 alessandro 2005-10-19 12:50:22 UTC
Same problem here with kde 3.4.92 (gentoo ebuilds)
Comment 9 Damien Gombault 2005-10-19 15:59:13 UTC
Try to recompile kdelibs with USE=acl
Comment 10 Till Adam 2005-10-26 05:03:55 UTC
Fixed for 3.5 final.
