Description Ruud Beukema 2005-09-15 08:19:49 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0ubuntu3 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-386

Kubuntu standard has no root account, but lets normal user log into Kcontrol. Meanwhile I've added a root account (to make some things easier).

In the Control Center I can't get to administrator mode. I've tried to use my root password, but I get a 'wrong password' message. Using my normal user account password doesn't result in such a message, but I don't go to administrator mode. Instead I go to the introduction screen of the Control Center. (This is the same story as described in an earlier BugReport)

I've tried kdesudo kcenter and kcenter as root from the command line, but both don't work.
