Description greatbunzinni 2005-09-11 21:46:54 UTC
Version: 0.9.2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)

There are redundant entries on the right-click menu that pops up when right-clicking on messages in the message list. That right-click menu has redundant entries. It has a "mark message as read" entry anda a "mark thread as read" entry.

To reduce clutter, the available menu options could depend of the number of articles which are selected or even if the tree is colapsed or not. For example, when clicking on a colapsed tree, the option "mark message as read" doesn't make much sense. So, the available option could be "mark thread as read". If the tree is expanded and a message is selected, the availableoption could be "mark message as read" and not "mark thread as read".

The same thing could be applied to other things like if a message is marked as read or not. For example, if a colapsed thread which all the messages are read is selected, the avaiable options could be "mark thread as unread". There should be no "mark message as read" or "mark thread as read" option because that doesn't make much sense.

So, my wish is that the right-click menu from the message list should depend on the selection and of the state of that selection. That would reduce clutter inthe right-click menu, reduce redundancies and make kmail look more "clean".

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
