Description aral 2005-09-05 17:28:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: standard Suse 9.3 (don't know compiler version)
OS: Linux

I had downloaded some quicktime movies to my ~/Desktop folder and wanted to view them, so I opened Konqueror from the quickstart bar. Selected the "Home Folder"-icon and single clicked on "Desktop" to open that.
Right clicked on the file sportsnews.wmv (file about Brian Collins as linked on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_meme ) and selected "Move to Trash". Right after deleting (had to check afterwards), Konqueror crashed with SIGSEGV 11.
At the time this was the only Konqueror window open, I had Firefox open as web-browser.

I restored the file from trash using Konqueror, closed the window and repeated the few steps that caused the crash exactly (minus the pixel-exact mouse-moves). I couldn't reproduce the bug :(

I have a suspicion that maybe Konqueror crashed when displaying the preview-info for the file that was under the cursor right after file deletion, but all of them "previewed" fine (talking about the pop-up info under cursor when hovering over filename) when I checked them out afterwards. Plus, because half the window was empty and the deleted file was the last one, I think that there was no file under cursor upon crash. Below is the trackback info I got from the debug-window.

Regards,

   Lars
