I generally despise automatically expanding and contracting menus and submenus, so I appreciate how the CDE style requires one to click on a submenu in a context menu to expand it. It would be very nice if a checkbox for an option as such could be provided so that one could require the clicking of a submenu to expand it or to hide it.

If I can find the time, I might write a patch for this myself.
