Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2005-08-28 09:59:56 UTC
Version:           1.2 (using KDE 3.4.90 (alpha1, >= 20050806), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-21.8-smp

Hi!
in very rare cases (1-2 per month) the sent mail remains in the local sent folder instead of beeing transfered to the remote imap folder.
Unfortunately no message is issued so it remains undiscoverd.
IMHO a message should be issued, if the transfer from the local sent-mail to the remote failes.

I'm using kmail 1.9.1 on KDE 3.5.1 and sent mails are never moved to the remote sent folder.
Comment 2 Ferdinand Gassauer 2006-02-22 09:52:58 UTC
Did you configure kmail to use the remote folder for storing sent mails?

Comment 8 Ferdinand Gassauer 2009-12-23 09:20:34 UTC
may be if internet connection to the IMAP server is not available and sent is made via avalable SMTP server
Comment 9 n-roeser 2010-01-09 15:18:37 UTC
I agree with comment 8. This may be related to bug 220776 and/or bug 128454.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
