Description Marcin Orlowski 2005-08-21 14:25:52 UTC
Version: 3.4.1 (using KDE 3.4.1, Debian Package 4:3.4.1-1 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.6 (Debian 1:3.3.6-5)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.10

Whenever user fetch more files using plain konqueror, kickers's taskbar groups (if such open is enabled) download windows, but then it changes the group name to "kio_uiserver" which is confusing. Dunno where it shall be fixed (konq or kicker) but it definitely shall be modified to have at least "Downloads" label visible

Definitely not konqueror, it has nothing to do with this
Comment 2 Maksim Orlovich 2005-08-21 17:29:25 UTC
eek, still not awake, meant to move to kio
Comment 3 madman 2006-04-29 16:20:26 UTC
Still present in KDE 3.5.2
Comment 4 Frederik Himpe 2006-11-12 11:32:05 UTC
Still present in kde 3.5.5, when having multiple file transfers using Kopete. Could someone take a look at it? Ideally it should show "Copying file" or something like that. Or show the name of the application which initiated the transfers.
Comment 5 Dawit Alemayehu 2013-02-02 20:53:58 UTC
KDE 3 is no longer maintained. Additionally, the uiserver and KIO dialogs in general are substantially different in KDE 4 than the ones found in KDE 3.

As such this bug is deemed no longer applicable. Feel free to reopen this ticket if you feel that is not the correct assessment and the bug is still applicable to the KDE 4.x branch.
