Description Martin Zbořil 2005-08-20 00:29:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

i did bind backspace to go up in directory (as in exploder), however this function is used in khtml too, so backspace key is quite unusable for searching, in some of sidebar plugins and also in terminal emulator (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58672)

This isn't a "proper" duplicate, but they are mutually exclusive desires for what backspaces should do and both make reference to the same problem (though this one more directly). I don't believe this to be an issue with konqueror proper, but rather with kde. Also, while the poster mentions searching and sidebar plugins, it's also a problematic key to use to navigate back in history as anytime an input field takes focus, one must then click out of the input field (or tab out or ... whatever) and then hit backspace again.

Right, same message as before, but the proper bug number this time.
