Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Here's the situation: My own address, A, was in the BCC as per my identity setting. My own key is set to "Encrypt whenever possible". The mail was addressed at address B for which I have a crypto key but neither address book entry nor crypto preference. In the composer, the "sign" icon is depressed, encryption is not. This corresponds to my global settings. Because of the conflict of "Encrypt whenever possible" and the "None" (or whatever holds for B) a dialog for choosing the keys and setting preferences appears. Now, the crucial part: I set "Never encrypt with this key" for recipient B and click OK. I am then asked to enter a name for B's address book entry. Finally, the e-mail is sent... encrypted! I justed tested this again. After setting the preference, it works as intended. But the first time, that is, when I'm asked to enter a name, the "Never encrypt" is simply ignored.
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
