Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux If I mount a floppy, and I unmount it, then the floppy icon shows floppy is mounted yet. The floppy is actually unmounted, but I can't mount another floppy with the icon, I must use a console or kwikdisk
What does it show in media:/ ? Are you using HAL?
In media:/ the icon shows the same. I'm using HAL, and it works with CD and USB devices. $ ps ax|grep [h]al 6045 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/hald --drop-privileges HAL Version 0.4.7
I see the same bug with KDE 3.4.2 from Debian Sid, hal 0.4.8-7 and pmount 0.8-2. After umounting a floppy disc via media:/ the floppy icon still looks like it is mounted. When I click on this icon I can even still see the directory contents of the umounted floppy disc. The disc is indeed umounted accourding to /proc/mounts. Everything works fine with all other devices in media:/.
Actually this bug is a dupe of bug 103198.
