Version: 1.1.2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2) Installed from: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux It appears that akregator is fetching multiple feeds at around the same time. This is fine by me. However when it shows a pop-up summarizing the articles for a feed this can be obscured by the pop-up for another feed. It would possibly be nicer to stack the pop-ups so they are all visible (but take up lots of vertical screen space) or merge the notifications into a single pop-up. I'd be OK with the merged contents changing if subsequent feed results arrived during the pop-up duration.
[…] when it shows a pop-up summarizing the articles for a feed […] I do not know of any “pop-up summarizing the articles for a feed”. Do you mean the progress bars you can show when retrieving feeds in the bottom right corner? If so, since they are in a single “pop-up”, would you say this issue is fixed?
Adrián: you are well aware that this report was about a very old version?
I know, I took the list of Akregator issues that were neither CLOSED nor RESOLVED from the oldest one (update date) and reviewed some of the first ones of the list. I hope you don’t mind, but say so if you do, because I might do it again in a couple of weeks :P
Created attachment 73989 [details] Screenshot showing aggregated notification in 4.5.8 The bug has been fixed - the notifications are now appearing in a single pop-up from the system tray icon. Thanks.
The new aggregated notification looks good and works well.
