Description Tristan Miller 2005-07-29 20:26:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

To reproduce:

1. Make sure ToDo sidebar is visible (Settings->Sidebar->Show ToDo View)
2. Select a ToDo item, X, with the mouse.
3. Drag the item on top of another item, Y.
4. Hold down the CTRL key
5. Let go of mouse button
6. Let go of the CTRL key

Observed behaviour:

3. Mouse pointer changes to a ToDo icon
4. Mouse pointer changes to a ToDo+Copy icon
5. X is moved to a subtask of Y. (Original X disappears.)

Expected behaviour:

3. Mouse pointer changes to a ToDo icon
4. Mouse pointer changes to a ToDo+Copy icon
5. X stays where it is, but a duplicate of X is inserted as a subtask of Y.

Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created
korganizer-devel mailing list.
Comment 2 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 18:47:56 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 3 Tristan Miller 2016-09-25 16:28:30 UTC
The bug is no longer present in KOrganizer 5.1.3 because it is no longer possible to drag ToDo items within the ToDo sidebar. When dragging a ToDo, a "no" icon is always superimposed while the ToDo is within the sidebar. This itself is probably a bug (that, or a removed feature) as it is no longer possible to copy ToDos.

why do you reopen the bug, then ?

I was clearing the NEEDSINFO flag. I don't know if this report should be closed or repurposed for the issue discussed in my comment.

To-do copying is a separate issue.
