Description Joel Montes de Oca 2005-07-15 03:48:14 UTC
Version: 0.9.0 (using KDE 3.3.0, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.8-24.16-default

I right click on the MSN icon on the bottom of Kopete and press 'Set Online'.

MSN is in "Connecting" statues for about 30 seconds.

A dialog box pops up and says:

"The password was wrong; please re-enter your password for MSN Messenger account <email>@msn.com"

The password is correct and so is the username. I checked the spelling and the caps. I even checked at hotmail.com and it worked fine.

I am trying to connect with a <email>@msn.com account.

Try this:

1) turn off Caps (it's rude to write in capitals)
2) upgrade Kopete
