Description ray 2005-07-12 10:37:02 UTC
Version: 1.8.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: gcc-3.3.5
OS: Linux

An "Apply this filter to read messages" box in Filter Rules/Advanced Options would enable new (unfiltered) mail to come to the Inbox and then be filed to a folder after it has been flagged as read. At the moment this requires manual filtering.

Uh... side-effect: you click on a new message, it disappears!
(it got moved to another folder because an automatic filter applied, after a message is automatically marked as read)

I was hoping for the filter to take effect after the "read time" had elapsed AND the message was de-selected. This has come up because of migrating a small company from MS Win2000 to KDE and trying to re-create their existing mail filters.

You can reach this with custom filters, markers and keyboard accelerators too
