Version: 1.8.1 (using KDE 3.4.2, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 (Mandrakelinux 10.2 3.4.3-7mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-6mdk When rigt click in a message then choose Redirect..., it appears a dialog to select an adress, so then i click in the button to select an addres, i select it, click in the OK button but then doesnt appear any address in the dialog box.
It worked fine here: trunk 430645: Steps: 1) select an email 2) right click 3) select Resend 4) Redirect 5) dialog box appears 6) click the book icon on the right 7) select an address 8) click To 9) click Ok 10) the address is shown on the dialog box
Thats's exactly the bug i related, in wich i described those steps, and in resume it doesnt NOT put any address selected in the dialog box. I hope you have seen the beggining of but in wich says: Version: 1.8.1 (using KDE 3.4.2
Yes, I did. The bug seems to be fixed in trunk, so someone has to verify if the branch is affected and, if so, fix it.
Now when i click redirect and click to choose an address then now the dialog box appears with the selected address but what happens after you click the send button is that the message is sent back to you and not to the address you did choose...weird...
Im using kdepim branch_3.5 revision 528442 and when right-clicking in a message (from the received folder) and choose Forward->Redirect it appears a small window in wich i write an address, click "Send Now" but the message instead going to the specified address it goes back to my default mail account. Just tested clicking the button "Send Later" to see what was the address to wich the email was send, and then i saw again that the message would be sent back to my default mail account instead to the selected address.
I tested this behaivour with kdepim revision r530119 without having any problems, the mail I redirected was sucessfully received. Maybe updating to the latest revision and a clean build will help.
Redirecting only adds a Resent-To header to which the mail is sent. The original To: header is kept. kmail shows the To header, but the mail is sent to the selected person. So everything is ok. (KDE 4.3.1)
