Description Joel Wiramu Pauling 2005-06-30 12:13:28 UTC
Version: SVN (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 3.4.4 march=k8
OS: Linux

Since Audioscrobbler support was added in head in october last year, the support has been rather simplistic. At the time it was commented that in the future more support for features of audioscrobbler would be added. Since the query comes up on the mailing list frequently. And i've become addicted to thinking about ways to improve audioscrobbler support. This is the outcome. This is related to bugs/wishlist 86324 , < a href="http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99684">99684

I have discussed this on my amarok related rambling blog, with screenies and stuff its at http://aemarok.aenertia.net if anyone cares to take a look. Would be mighty happy.

Kind regards

Joel W

Sounds great. I want that stuff too :-)

Joel, a realization of your proposals would be great, for a start I would help a lot to be able to access at least my last.fm user page in amarok (maybe in a tab, like the wikipedia is opened)

Basically for it to work elegantly configurable views need to be implemented. I.e Konqueror style. As we currently are running into problems with the tab and functionality. (i.e creating playlists must currently be put into the playlist window first then into a playlist.... wheras it is possible to drag n drop straight from the collection browser to the playlist editor... it's currently impossible with the sidebar layout... being able to split views would fix this.)

Comment 6 Isaiah Damron 2005-12-06 01:12:42 UTC
related to bug 111983, which I see getting implemented first.
Comment 7 Marcel 2006-02-18 21:18:33 UTC
That would be awesome! Wow!
Comment 8 Wulf Bolte 2006-08-06 14:36:49 UTC
We need also the "exclude Directory" Feature, which is known from the winamp plugin from audioscrobbler...

don`t want to submit a new feature request...
Comment 9 John Ellis 2006-08-06 15:46:54 UTC
I think we could go a but further too, adding some simple additions like "Listen to Similar Artists", it seems to be simply "lastfm://artist/(ARTIST NAME VARIABLE)/similarartists" and a similar link for "Listen to fans collections" lastfm://artist/(ARTIST NAME VARIABLE)/fans .
I could be wrong but I imagine that would be simple to implement and allow people to quickly expand their musical horizons.
Comment 10 Joel Wiramu Pauling 2006-08-07 02:52:57 UTC
Exclude directoy?

You MEAN A BLACKLIST!... See bug :

I have argued for blacklist implementation in amarok for a long time. So yeah.;-)
