Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5.20050130-r1, ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1) OS: Linux Configure Desktop->Background->Get New Wallpapers When installing new wallpapers, the wallpapers that are downloaded have no extensions. You have to erase the Filter otherwise no files show up. This is very confusing. Could you add the extensions. Also, when 'Get New Wallpapers', it stores them automatically in $HOME/.kde3.4/share/wallpapers but that location is not in the left column with 'Desktop',Home Folder', 'Floppy', Storage Media', and 'Network Folder. Beginners have no idea where to look for the wallpapers they just downloaded. Could you put that location in the left column? Could you also add the /usr/share/kde/3.4/share/wallpapers to the left column as well. Since this is the default place for system wallpapers it would help out the usability. thanks.

The second part of this wish is not a duplicate as far as I can tell. Could you reopen this wish? Being able to easily find the system wallpaper directory as well as your personal one would be a good usability improvement.
That's what you get for filing two issues in one report ;)
kcmbackground is used for the background settings of kdesktop (KDE 3.5) which is no more mantained. I'm closing this bug because are related to a product which is no more developed.
