Description Jakub Jozwicki 2005-06-20 14:43:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

writing "\n.\n" in message body causes truncation of email (because \n.\n in smtp means end of message body)

Example:
--------------------
abc
.
this text will not be placed in email
--------------------

Funny thing, but mutt and mozilla are also affected.
MS Outlook filters text and adds space afer "\n."

Sending is OK, compliant with RFC821, but receiving email with kmail truncates message after the first ".\r\n" sequnece sent by the pop3 server, not the last one.

Can't reproduce this with KMail from KDE 4.3.
