Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Whats about a doubleclick-sensitive Desktop ? A Doubleclick would start any action that was configured before. As it was realized for Directory Opus Magellan on the good old Commodore-Amiga / eg.: to open a directory right there at your mousepointer. It is pretty useful, not to slide over and over and over again to any icon, Button, or Hotkey for a specific action that is needed all the time ! It is already realized for the actual release of "DirOpus", running under Windows(c) ! Maybe you want to have a look, if you dont know DirOpus: http://www.gpsoft.com.au/ Thanks a lot for considering this feature. M.Friedrichs
Mouse actions in plasma can be configured in KDE 4.6.2.
Guess, it could not be configured yet..?! I am looking for "a doubleclick-sensitive Desktop", but all i found in KDE <= 4.6.2 Desktop Options are "single-click" Options that can be assigned to four pre-specified Actions. That is far away from free configured "double-click" Options, isn't it ? Or is there any hidden option to configure double-click Options under plasma/KDE that i couldn't find during a 1 hour Google search ? But where to find ? Thanks for keeping me up to date. Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
