Description Anthony Pleace 2005-06-17 10:05:01 UTC
Version: 0.11.18 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.4.3
OS: Linux

I renamed several files by copying the text from an oo spreadsheet cell to the rename box in nautilus.
The file seemed to be ok but every time I tried to butn a cd with this file or make an iso with this file K3B crashed or failed
I then looked at the output which idnicated an error with the file as shown here
output from K3B error report follows next
***

for some reason the file appeared to be OK but was not. I wondered of there was something at the end of the cell that I could not see which was added to the file name.
So I copied the file to another medium and sure enough it failed with that file.
I renamed the file adn K3B operated correctly.
I dont know what you can do about this but I though that you should know.
I am pelased that i found the fault.
Many thanks
Tony

Anthony: This old k3b version is not even in the Gentoo tree anymore and development goes on in 0.12. It's a bad idea to report bugs on outdated software versions. Am I right that "1/Memaid/finished/Nibhanupudi" shall be a filename? It will be treated as a directory tree with the file Nibhanupudi at it's end. Trying to use a / in filenames is not a good idea.

There has been no information in a long time. I cannot reproduce the bug so I
will close it.
Comment 3 Anthony Pleace 2006-08-14 16:16:17 UTC

Thanks
