Description Jarne Cook 2005-06-15 23:51:40 UTC
Version: 1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0pre4 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-12)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-i8600

my screen:
1920x1200
DisplaySize 331 207 (dell i8600 laptop)
therefore dpi = 147

In the config window I have set the font to "Bistream Vera Sans 6". When I apply this the fonts are updated in the message preview frame. When I change the font size to 5 or 4 (which IS in the size list) then apply the change the fonts will not update.

Similarly when I use ctrl-scroll to set the font size it still does not get smaller.

Essentially it wont go below 6 (at least for that font).

Do you have a minimum font size of 6 set in Konqueror's settings? KMail
uses khtml for displaying the messages. So I guess, there might be such
a relation.
I may be wrong, though.

Nah

That doesn't seem to do anything.

Ive got the min font in konq at 4 and the default at 6. I made them both
2 ... that didn't affect kmail (and I restarted kmail just to be sure).

I can see this in KDE 4.4 trunk.
Probably has to do with internal point->pixel conversion ?

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
