Description Frank Mulder 2005-06-14 17:12:12 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS:                Linux

Debian testing;
experimental packages for KDE 3.4;
XFree 4.3.0

Normal slideshow works in digiKam, but in OpenGL mode the screen remains black. This looks like bug 90183 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90183), but in that case the screen remained white and the bug was marked as RESOLVED.

This is output from glxinfo -l that may be useful:

your max texture size is rather small: GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE = 512.

Comment 2 Sebastian Kügler 2005-06-14 17:31:20 UTC
Same problem here (with same packages), but my GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE is 512. What more info would you need to debug this?
I'm using xorg, btw, with the open source radeon driver.

Comment 3 Dik Takken 2005-06-15 14:45:05 UTC
Hee Sebastian.. :)

How old is your videocard? Even my ancient Geforce-256 supports bigger textures...

But yes, maybe there should be a check and error message when your graphics card can't do it.
Comment 4 Valerio Fuoglio 2006-12-10 00:07:26 UTC
For me is a problem related to that kipi-plugins/libkipi/videoCardDriver package version.
I suggest to close the bug (is old and probably related to distribution's binary packages), will be reopened after any confirmation.

Comment 5 Valerio Fuoglio 2006-12-13 17:49:16 UTC
As I said, this bug is old, probably related to distribution's binary packages;
will be reopened after any confirmation.
