It gives a signal 11 error message (sigsegv). I noticed that there are reports of this behavior going back at least two and a half years (Nov 2002), so I think it may be a longstanding problem. I found these old descriptions of the same bug by googling the web. I am using debian 2.6.8 and kde 3.3.2.
