Version: 2.3.1 (using KDE 3.4.1, Kubuntu Package 4:3.4.1-0ubuntu0hoary1 ()) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-k7 Provide a "flat view mode" that displays all files (like with "Unfold File Tree"), but as a flat list, not below the folders. The (relative) folder name should become a column in the list. This way you could display all files in the list, ignoring the directory they're in (regarding sorting). The extra column "Path" would allow sorting by path. (see WinCVS)
Please implement this feature. It's already 13 years since it has been reported and it's key feature. It has been mentioned several times in threads and blogs: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/156401/flat-view-of-directories https://zaley44.wordpress.com/2016/07/19/xtree-clones-for-linux-and-ubuntu/ and it's implemented in Total Commander since forever and also in Double Commander.
As a workaround you can use the search without any filter criteria and use the "Feed to listbox" feature. The resulting file list supports all basic file operations.
