Version: 1.12 (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.6 (Debian 1:3.3.6-5) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8 It would be nice if one could somehow ask kaudiocreator to try again the failed task. My use-case: I started ripping some cd-rom, got error window with information that oggenc failed to run, found the reason for the problem (some old oggenc left in /usr/local/bin linked with unavailable librariers) and solved it, so got the rest of the CD ripped correctly but ... without the first song. And no way to ask kreatoraudio to try again...
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
5 years, yeah… Looking at the date, it's likely I was ripping some lullabies for my 2-3 yo infants. They are impressive young adults just now. Unfortunately I can't test CD ripping anymore, as I don't have CD drive in the computer I currently use. It also seems that kaudiocreator as such doesn't exist anymore. Still, the case from this bug isn't difficult and it may make sense to test it in whatever-KDE-currently-provides-for-CD-ripping: break oggenc somehow (maybe simply apt remove?), start ripping, see how the error is reported and whether it is possible to retry encoding the failed song after installing oggenc back.
This project is unfortunately no longer maintained. If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here: https://invent.kde.org/unmaintained/kaudiocreator You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived. Sorry for the inconveniences.
