Version: 1.8.1 (using KDE 3.4.1, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-gentoo-r9 When I read my mail in kmail's preview window, russian letters are ok, but if I open (for example, using doubleclick on mail in the mail list) same mail in other window It became unreadable. My locale is utf8. I'm using autoencoding in kmail. BTW. If I set encoding not auto, but for example koi8-r then I can read mail both in preview and in different window. BTW2. I do not have time, right now, but it seems to me that this bug was introduced in kmail 1.8. If you need to know this 100% sure then tell me.
Ooops. I've struggled from this bug during kmail-1.8. Then 1.8.1. Now I posted but and It dissappeared! 5 minuts ago I had this porblem and now I wanted to add screenshow and it dissapeared. :) Fantastik. Sorry for disturbance...
Created attachment 11413 [details] Image, which shows the problem.
Well. I've have the sam problem again. So I think the bug exist. Look at this picture in attachement. To workaround the problem I have to change encoding from auto encoding on some other and back into auto.
Can you attach the message in question?

Created attachment 11415 [details] Mail, I could not open in readable form. But I do not think this bug is in broken mail. ANY mail I have, that is written in charset other from askii, was unreadable... And as I already told if I change encoding in sequence: auto -> any other encoding -> auto, then the problem will be fixed. I closed kmail and start it again, but the problem is not reproduced. I will try to reproduce problem with reboot tomorow.
Mail seems properly encoded: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=koi8-r Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit But I cannot reproduce it.
