Description Ulrich Hermisson 2005-06-07 12:26:47 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
OS: Linux

The LPRng printing system allows wildcard entries in the printcap file like

*:client:lp=%P@printhost

Such an entry shows up as "*", which doesn't work. It would be nice if in this case:

- a printer specified by the environment variable PRINTER appears in the list as the preselected printer

- selecting "*" would allow one to specify a printer name, maybe also select one from a list which is generated by "lpstat -a"

With kind regards
Ulrich Hermisson

KDEPrint is obsolete, unmaintained and will never be revived. Closing all open bugs.
