Autohide feature for this plugin would be useful. It should probably be enabled only when the user is reading a html page in a new tab and not when he is viewing the list of articles. chetan
Well, you can always hide it manually as it's using QSplitter.
Yes... This is what I call an implicit usability bug because I post it and then, after thinking much about that I discover how to address it or it is said to me through BTS. I consider myself an advanced user (now I'm sarting to learn Qt4 for a personal project) but many things sometimes pass undvised. However I have blind faith in KDE because my last explicit usability bug was incorpored in KDE 3.5 although I got a WONTSOLVE from Aaron Seigo (if I remember well. It was about a "create new folder" button in konqueror's folder selection dialog, you could rightclick but finally the button was added). Maybe a navigational help could be useful for this kind of things. Hi, Register an account with Newshutch.com. Add a couple of feed (or import your feeds from an OPML,) and fool around with their interface a little. _There is_ an interface to admire! (Point being: It uses auto-hide for feeds without new entries, and it has an option for "mark as read, and open next unread feed". One's workflow is really improved when using Newshutch rather than Akregator, Bloglines, or any of the others)
I want this really badly now. Newshutch shut down their service three days ago. I really need Akregator to be a good feed reader. Auto hiding read feeds would make this happen.

Just for clarification, it's rarely stubborness or lack of inspiration if completely sensible suggestions lay here for a long time unimplemented, it's rather lack of contributions.
I would contribute, but my C skills are lacking. I think that's probably true of the majority of bug-contributors. Personally, I'm not irked by the time involved in having features implemented - I manage a project of my own (http://kfm.verens.com/ - PHP and JavaScript) and even the simplest things can take weeks to implement while I'm looking for the time to site down and do it. Don't worry about it - take your time. Either you will do it, or someone else will. If I get the time, I'll learn enough C to do it. Point is, "no rush".
