Description Johannes Ballé 2005-06-06 17:59:38 UTC
Version: 3.2.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc-Version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5.20050130-r1, ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1) CFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe"
OS: Linux

If I try to open the following project file in kdevelop, it doesn't work. Instead, kdevelop displays an error message saying that there has been a tag mismatch.

If I change the é to e in the author name field, it works as expected.

Comment 1 Nicolas Goutte 2005-06-07 19:05:49 UTC
This seems to be an encoding mismatch.

By not declaring an encoding, the XML file is in UTF-8 and I suppose that the accent was not coded in UTF-8.

Have a nice day!
Comment 2 Johannes Ballé 2005-06-08 09:37:02 UTC
Thank you. The only problem is that the file was generated by kdevelop's new project wizard. I did not change a single line.

I wish you a nice day, too. :-)
Comment 3 Johannes Ballé 2005-06-08 10:10:01 UTC
Indeed. If I change the first line to

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

it works! Thanks again for the hint.

Yes, i supposed that the file was created by KDevelop. I just wanted to give a
hint to KDevelop's developer (in case that they would need one).

This is a dupe of an old bug. So I guess that the old bug was not properly fixed :(
