Version: 1.8.1 (using KDE 3.4.1%2C%2520Arch%2520Linux) Compiler: gcc%2520version%25203.4.3 OS: Linux%2520%28i686%29%2520release%25202.6.11.10-ARCH Hello all, I'm having a problem with previewing certain mails. When I click on such a mail, I receive an error message and my preview pane remains blank. However, when I double click to open the mail, it is properly displayed. Very strange. When I try to preview these messages in any other mail client, everything works fine. I am using the imap protocol. My system: Linux travelmate 2.6.11.10-ARCH #1 SMP Mon May 16 14:58:59 PDT 2005 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.50GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux with KDE 3.4.1 and the latest kmail. This problem has been here for ages, btw. It persisted even after switching to and from Arch several times.
What error message do you get?
[some text that says that I should submit a bugreport, which I obviously did] I'll try to translate it: An error occurred while receiving the structure of the message. The proces for the protocol imap://stumail.uvt.nl died unexpectedly.
That's an unusual imap server. Any chance to get a test account to this server? Can you provide an email that causes problems? Can you compile kdepim/kioslaves/imap4 with --enable-debug=yes and get a debug output?
I tried to attach such a mail, but the upload system said the file was empty :S. Anyway, I'll mail such a mail to you, since you seem to be the one who is concerned with this issue. I can't get a test-account, unfortunately. It's my university mail account, so as a student I do not have much influence there. I will compile kdepim wth --enable-debug=yes to see what happens.
I compiled with enable-debug. Stupid question, but how do I catch debug output? When I start kmail or contact from within konsole, the only message I get is: gpgmeplug checkMessageSignature status flags: 80
Unlikely that we get this bug solved four years later, I thnk
