Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux on SuSE there is a XSession file /opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/session/admin.desktop which starts YaST2 in fullcreen mode. Since KDE 3.4, kdm ignores this file, seemingly based on its filename; as soon as I rename or copy it to some other name ending in .desktop, the Session type "admin" in KDM is back where it belongs.
suse-specific. they have a special "admin" button to activate this session type. i suppose one can configure it away.
where is this "admin" button? i dont have an admin button in kdm. and why is that reason enough to code kdm so that it ignores a session if the .dektop file is named admin.session?
you don't understand: this is no problem of kde. kde != suse's kde packages. i suggest you read the replies twice before you dare to challenge the app maintainer's conclusion.
