Description Daniel Moyne 2005-06-02 12:27:22 UTC
Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE 3.4.0,%20Debian%20Package%204%3A3.4.0-0ubuntu3.2%20(3.1))
Compiler: gcc%20version%203.3.5%20(Debian%201%3A3.3.5-8ubuntu2)
OS: Linux%20(i686)%20release%202.6.10-5-686

When connecting to a protected web site (bank or other) without using Kwallet typically after entering the password the Enter key connect to the site when the prompt is still in the password field.

Why not use the same principle with Kwallet :
- add an automatic connection (yes/no) after user / password entries as an option
- this would add a CR on the password that would automatically connect to the web site as this is what the user desires anyways.
- this would bypass either the Enter key with the prompt inside the password or the click with the mouth on the typical OK icon below the user and password fields.

Like this after entering the password to the Kwallet data you connet directly to the web site !

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
