Version: 2.3.0 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0ubuntu3.1 (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-686 Since I have updated my Ubuntu distro it is no more possible to use kppp as I collect the following error merssages : Opener: received OpenSysLog Opener: received SetSecret Opener: received OpenLock Opener: received OpenDevice Opener: received ExecPPPDaemon Kernel supports ppp alright. pppd: The remote system is required to authenticate itself pppd: but I couldn't find any suitable secret (password) for it to use to do so. pppd: (None of the available passwords would let it use an IP address.) It was pppd that died pppd exited with return value 1 Sending 8291 a SIGUSR1 In parent: pppd pid 8312
BTW, this one is certainly a dup of bug 39820, "noauth" here or there (not sure kppp passes it now) solves it. Maybe time to just close it.
