Version: Unbekannt (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0pre4 (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-12) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-kanotix-7 In the kmail settings I have enabled the user specific font settings and I have enabled viewing the messages in a fixed font (courier 14). When I now print a mail the font and font size I have set in the settings are completey ignored and the text is printed much too big. I have to disable the fixed font view every time I want to print an email. The workaround is to disable the fixed font view at all and explicitely set the message text view to courier 14 and the print font to courier 10. That works for me - but I doubt that this behaviour is intended - or is it?
I can confirm this behaviour on KDE 3.4.1 (SuSE 9.2 so called 3.4.1 Level "a").
I can confirm this behaviour on KDE 3.5.2 (SuSE 9.3). It appears that what KMail is doing is using the "Fixed font" instead of "Printing font" for printing output. To force it to use the "Printing font", you need to first disable the fixed-font view.

Still valid in KMail 1.9.7 from KDE 3.5.7.
I guess this can be closed because fixed font view in this way isn't available anymore in Kmail since KDE 3.5.7? (one version above the one contained in Debian Etch), so it's invalid now. Follow-up is Bug 166922 because problem with the printing font size still exists, i.e. got worse, now it's completely ignored.
Works with KDE 4.3.1
