OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.14-default

open a internet page with special character in the url (path part) for exampel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Höß
After open the page the last both characters ar not show

This work only with the englisch version of wikipedia on the german page (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Höß) the last both charakters are right.
Comment 1 Dik Takken 2005-05-24 10:17:47 UTC
On KDE 3.3.2, the URL is transformed to

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_HöÃ

as soon as the page is loaded. The english version works prefectly.

Clicking on the above links in the bug report does not work, the special characters are not recognised as part of the URL by the bug tracking system.
Comment 2 Allan Sandfeld 2005-05-24 10:25:10 UTC
It works for me.
Comment 3 Thiago Macieira 2005-05-25 05:16:03 UTC
We don't implement IRI correctly. I think this can be marked as a duplicate of bug #55177
Comment 4 Thiago Macieira 2005-05-25 13:58:25 UTC
Marking as duplicate then.
