Description Kern Sibbald 2005-05-19 10:32:43 UTC
Version: 3.3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc 3.4
OS: Linux

Many times when konqueror starts, it is in a weird mode where each left single click results in an immediate selection. When in this mode, if I left click once on the Bookmarks menu item, it opens and immediately selects whatever is under the mouse. This results in bizarre behavior. At that point, I must either click+hold then move to the menu item I want and release (painful for me) or stop and re-launch Konqueror, hoping it will not be in this mode.

I haven't been able to figure out what causes it to get in this mode. It seems to have something to do with the fact that I have a very long bookmarks menu (almost as big as the screen or sometimes bigger), and if the Konqueror window is near the top of the screen, I get this action. If I move the window down on the screen and retry often, it will revert to normal operation.

Note, I have no problem *anywhere* of a single click turning into a "double click" except in this one case in Konqueror.
