The documentation field for attributes and operations (probably others) follows the element selection on the class properties dialog, and can be edited there too.  This is useful for quick updates to the documentation.  

It would be useful to bring this field to the "New .." and "Properties" dialogs for these elements too.  That way, the documentation can be added with the creation of the element, rather than creating the elements, then going back to select them, and editing them elsewhere.
