Description johnelliottmartin 2005-05-18 23:34:52 UTC
Version: 1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-SL93_BRANCH_20050428101114-default

If kmail is started and running in a background window, and kwallet pops up asking for a password, when you click on the kwallet window to enter the password kmail is restored to a foreground window just behind the password dialog, but the application window does not show any menu names, toolbar icons, folders, messages, or any of the contents of the window. It looks like the window needs to be refreshed but it doesn't until the password is entered. If anyone would like to see a picture of this let me know and I will email it to you.

I do not think that this one is an exact duplicate of bug 102464!

I am experiencing the behaviour described above here, too. The window that does not get refreshed seems to be the KMail main window. The problem probably is that the KWallet query for the SMTP password when sending a mail is not attached to the KMail mail send window but to the main window instead.

Second problem that the window does not get refreshed IMHO is related to synchronous usage of KWallet.
