Description Nicholas Allen 2005-05-18 00:55:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)

If I try to add any files to a k3b project, or play any files using kaffeine, that are on a removable usb hard disk I get the error "You can only select local files." After inspecting the source code it seems to be a problem with the media ioslave as the file dialog checks a flag in slotOK to check the URL is local.

So the media IO slave does not seem to be reporting back to the file open dialog that the url is local.

This makes many KDE apps unuable with removable media. Clearly all media will be local if it is connected directly to my laptop through a USB cable...
