Version: 1.7.2 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux I read many mailing lists I get used to pressing the L key to reply to the list. When you do this on a message that was NOT from a list it starts a new message with NO TO address at all. I suggest it would be more friendly to reply to author and optionally WARN about the address than to just start an email with no address. If there is only one reply target, even the warning seems arguably redundant, and it should just set up the reply address and carry on, but a warning would be less irritating than finishing a long response and hitting send only to find you have to go back and cut and paste the reply address in. Yes, this is similar to other wish-list items about reply to list, but it is subtly different. Kmail should never pop up a empty TO address on any kind of reply. Especially when there is only one choice. And yes, its a user problem for hittin the L key on a non list message. Guilty as charged your honor. :-)
How about this? Its been a while and no action. If you read any mailing lists in kmail and learn the keyboard reply keys I'm sure you encountered this. How hard would it be to get this fixed to reply to the only possible reply address when no list address is present?
Confirmed.
