Description Paulo Fidalgo 2005-05-04 18:28:03 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 3.4.0, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3-20050110 (Gentoo Linux 3.4.3.20050110-r2, ssp-3.4.3.20050110-0, pie-8.7.7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.5

Please allow the users to remove applications from all associtated mime-types.
When we remove one app from the system kde still have the assossiations, so we need to manual remove it from all types.
Another good feature was to have a "clean" button that will remove all associations with missing apps. This could search if the app is present on the system, and if not remove all associations.

I hope to made myself clear, if not, just ask me ;)

Best regards,

Paulo Fidalgo

If an application is missing on the system (including its desktop file), then the associations with that application cannot possibly appear in the filetypes editor.

Removing one app from all associated mimetypes is a good idea - #61582.
