Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Hello.
I'm a Korean student using KDE.
My computer is connecting to network with other computers installed Windows.
And I had try to download files in my friend's computer.
But, I couldn't connect to my friend's computer because that computer's host name is named by Hangul(Korean).
In contrast, I can connect to other computers named by English and my friend's computer named by Hangul using smbclient in console.
Maybe it appears to same problems in other nation using multibyte character.
I want to fix this bug soon.
Thank you.

KDE 3 is no longer maintained. Feel free to reopen the ticket if the problem is still applicable in the current stable KDE 4 version. Thank you for your report.
