kmail should have an option to go to next unanswered message, and then an option to mark this unanswered message not to pop up anymore on the first option.

because sometimes mail is filtered before i get a chance to answer them all, and sometimes i forget to get back to some people i have read the message from already. but of course since you don't want to go over all unanswered messages everytime (mailing lists, ...), we need an option to mark each message as not to be a must re read anymore.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
