Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE 3.4.0, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5.20050130-r1, ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-gentoo-r6 The "Switch User" button (either from the K-menu, or from the desktop) seems to show every open konsole in my session as a possible user to switch to. It shows: lee: kde-3.4 (:0, vt7) -- selected with an X lee: TTY login (pts/0) -- greyed out lee: TTY login (pts/2) lee: TTY login (pts/3) [...] lee: TTY login (pts/25) I also see a very similar list when I go to shut down from kdm after logging out of my session. It says something like ... "these sessions are still active. Are you sure you want to shut down?"

Looks like a duplicate of bug #100411. Why did you unmark it?
#100411 is about virtual terminals, not tty's used by konsole
Yes, but a bit down Ossi talks about the pseudoterminals used by Konsole, so it is a bit related. I'll let him decide. He also said: > the listing of pts/1 is definitely not intended. probably some x terminal > emulator did not set the display as the source of the login (doesn't konsole > get it right, still?) Yes, Konsole on KDE 3.4.0 doesn't get it right: USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT thiago pts/3 - 27Mar05 1:26m 19:11 19:11 irssi Freenode Reassign there instead?
> Reassign there instead? > good idea. :) anyway, we'll need a workaround in kdm, too. i'll take care of both.
successfully (i think) worked around in trunk and 3.4 branch.
