Description Lalit Patil 2005-04-26 01:51:31 UTC
Version: Kmail 1.8 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

I have Kubuntu Hoary 5.04 as my OS and use Kmail 1.8 as my email client. I have set up my account as Disconnected IMAP. When I check for new email and automatically filter to them, the filtered email is deleted if it is moved to an empty folder.

e.g. Suppose I have an empty folder, called TestMail on my D IMAP. If I create a filter on Subject "Test" such that the action is to move the filtered email to the folder TestMail, then:
a. if the folder TestMail is empty, this filtered email is deleted
b. if I just move a test email from another another folder to TestMail and then sync the D IMAP, the moved email is deleted
c. But, if I have an existing email in that folder (existing from the main IMAP server), then the filtering or moving, does not delete the filtered or moved email during the process of synchronization.

Kmail 1.8.2
distr. SUSE 9.3
OS. linux

I'm confirming this issue

when I create new folder in Imap tree and move any email from diff. folder there, the following synchro ( or look from windows to this folder ) will loose all email in thsi folder

workaround
do not touch Windows access for several minutes ( 5-15 ?? )

Can you still confirm this?

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
