Description S. Burmeister 2005-04-17 14:53:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When kopete loses connection for an account, it notifies the user and one has to acknowledge by clicking OK. If one then wants to re-connect, one has to open kopete from systray, right-click the account and choose online.

This process of re-connecting could be speeded up a lot by providing a button in the notification: "reconnect now".

My idea would be to get rid of all settings for re-connection modules in the plug-in section. Instead, if kopete loses the connection, it notifies the user about the event, providing an OK-button, as well as a "reconnect now" button, including a checkbox for "reconnect automatically". If this checkbox is ticked and one wants to de-activate it, this could be done in the account-settings, maybe just below the "do not connect at start-up" checkbox.
