Description Cory Jones 2005-04-14 08:01:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.2 [FreeBSD] 20040728
OS: FreeBSD

Exchange events are being read in but the start time and end time are off by 7 hours (in my case).

For example, the following event shows up in the kontact calendar on 4/132005 @ 6pm to 6:30pm, it should be 11am to 11:30am :

Just want to chime in saying I'm also encountering this bug.
Comment 2 Riskable 2005-05-09 20:24:39 UTC
Forgot to include my version info... I'm using KDE 3.4 on Gentoo (x86). Compiled with gcc-3.3.4.
Comment 3 Toomas Mõttus 2005-05-24 12:17:54 UTC
The same here. KOrganizer is 3.3.2 version using exchange resource. All times in KOrganizer are displayed with GMT times.
I have also problem with accented characters, as Exchange uses some Windows character set (probably 1257).

Thanks in advance!
Comment 4 Toomas Mõttus 2005-05-26 09:28:30 UTC
For some mysterious reaosons the plugin works correctly now. I changed time-zone information back and forth for several times. After logoff/logon times are displayed correctly. There is some kind of configuration write order problem, it seems.
Accented characters are not correct still. I am hoping too much of just logging off and back on it seems. :)
Comment 5 Cory Jones 2005-05-28 22:17:34 UTC
Thank you. It works fine after correctly configuring the Timezone in Kontact.
[from within Kontact PIM]Settings->Configure Kontact->Calendar->Time & Date->Timezone.

My Timezone was not configured to begin with so I did see your problem... "back and forth". Maybe if I had the Timezone configured first than added my Exchange Calendar I would have ran into you problem. ?

Anyways thanks again.
Cory

I have correctly set my timezone and in fact have tried several time zones but the meetings always show up at the UTC time, not the local time. In my case, I've tried timezones GMT-8, PST8PDT and US/Pacific and all display at the wrong time.
