Description David Lazanja 2005-04-13 22:54:52 UTC
Version: 1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-1-i686-win4lin

I'm using a remote smtp server for
sending mail. This previously worked in kmail but now something is not working.

I configured kmail to use TLS with plain password for this server.

When I attempt to send a message, I get the following error message:

"Sending failed:
Authorization failed, An error occured during authentication: SASL(-4): no mechanism available: No worthy mechs found authentication not supported".

This happens with both SSL with plain or TLS with plain.

The username and password are correctly entered. This worked with the older version of kmail that was part of kde 3.3.

Thanks.
