Description Jim Canfield 2005-04-13 20:26:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux

Would be nice *not* to see these errors pop up when I try to view a file in kfax. I have minimal kde support (ie kdelibs only) so this my be ignored, but I think the error messages serve no real purpose other than debugging and I have that turned off on compile.

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] kde-base/kfax-3.4.0 +arts -debug -kdeenablefinal -kdexdeltas -x inerama 0 kB

I get two anoying pop-ups. Here is the output:

kio (KSycoca): WARNING: Found version 75, expecting version 79 or higher.

This was a bug in Gentoo's KDE packaging, missing the thumbnail kioslave runtime dependency. Please close the bug.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been
unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug.
